  • By Air: In case you’re flying into Goa, you must know there are two airports here, namely, Dabolim Airport and Manohar International Airport. Depending upon whether you’re headed to North or South Goa, you must decide which airport to land at. 
  • By Rail: There are two major railway stations, Margao and Vasco-da-Gama. The southern railway terminus is at Vasco-da-Gama, and the northern railway terminus/Konkan railway terminus is at Margao.

Places here are well-connected since it is such a popular destination among tourists. Transit between the two spheres is also easy, as the South Goa to North Goa distance is only 56.5 km by road.

Best Time to Visit Goa 

Since Goa experiences a Tropical climate type, because of its location along the South-Western coast of India, it experiences two seasons in particular- Wet and Dry. 

Both North and South Goa are accustomed to the same type of weather conditions due to not being too far apart. Hence, November to May is the peak season and the most ideal time to wander through its streets, experiencing the nightlife and markets. Various festivals during this time make it come to life. 

Meanwhile, from the months of June to September, heavy rainfall makes it an less ideal time for exploration. Although nature lovers might love how the greenery of both North and South Goa is highlighted during this time.
