It is a beautiful lake shaped in the English number 8 and is mostly turquoise in color. It is surrounded by three mountains and is famous for the snow slabs floating in the water. The Thajiwas Glacier has situated three km from Sonamarg in Kashmir. The glacier is at a height of 3000 meters above sea level. The trek to the glacier is an easy level. The trek goes from easy to a moderate level and the trail goes through beautiful meadows and flower beds.
