Let’s pack the bags and roll on!

Manaslu Circuit Trek

Manaslu Circuit Trek

The Manaslu Circuit Trek gives unforgettable landscape views, a particular portion of the remote trail, and views of the world’s eighth-highest elevation, Mt. Manaslu (8,163 meters). This trek stretches out across lush forests, terraced fields, and ancestral villages, presenting you to Nepalese culture and way of life.

Trekking starts from Machha Khola, a small town that is a long drive from Kathmandu. The trail follows the Budi Gandaki River, passing suspension bridges, bodies of water, and gorges. As you walk higher, the scenery changes from subtropical forests to alpine landscapes.

One of the highlights of this trek is crossing Larkya La Pass at 5,106 meters. This complex yet rewarding trek feels like paradise.

The Manaslu Circuit Trek also supplies trekkers with a rich cultural and historical background. Tibetan Buddhism has affected the area; along the way, you will see many monasteries, chortens, and prayer flags.

Namrung, Lho, and Samagaon are a handful of the most advantageous villages for learning about the culture and traditions of their inhabitants.

The itinerary generally lasts 14-16 days. A unique and authoritative permit is mandatory there because of the altitude barriers.

Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek

Another essential but lesser-known beauty in the Manaslu region is the Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek. Most frequently celebrated as the “Valley of Happiness,” this trek has a unique culture and majestic landscapes. Contrasting with the widespread acceptance of the Manaslu Alpine Circuit, it takes one deep into more remote and unpopulated parts of Nepal.

The Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek begins on the same path as the Manaslu Circuit, turning northeast at Lokpa. It then wanders through thick forests, narrow gorges, and beautiful villages steeped in ancient Tibetan Buddhist culture.

Ancient monasteries like Rachen Gompa and Mu Gompa are some main attractions. This trek has several remarkable features, the most amazing of which is the hospitality of the Tsumba people.

For centuries, they have preserved their unique traditions and practices. This area remains almost untouched by modern influence, transporting you back in time. As you explore, you’ll encounter main walls, prayer wheels, and sacred caves, including the famous Milarepa cave Cave.

The Tsum Valley Trek takes about 18 to 21 days to complete. Like the Manaslu Circuit, special permits and a registered guide are required.
