India’s Advisory Amid Bangladesh Protests

India has cautioned its citizens in Bangladesh due to ongoing protests over government job quotas. 

The advisory urges Indians to stay indoors and avoid travel amidst escalating unrest that has claimed lives. 

The turmoil stems from student-led demonstrations calling for reforms, leading to a nationwide shutdown. Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered an inquiry into the violence, pledging justice through the Supreme Court.

Paramilitary and riot police presence has been bolstered to maintain order as protests persist across the country. 

The Indian High Commission has issued emergency contacts for assistance amid the volatile situation.
