The trek to Nanemachi Waterfall starts from a base village, Bhira, and takes around 3–4 hours to culminate at the Waterfall. Slick, slippery, and uneven paths make it absolutely necessary to wear strong, high-grip shoes, so make it a point to carry two pairs with you at least. 

Also, take enough water, food, and a first-aid kit for emergencies. Remember that the area is pretty remote and lacks facilities.

Nonetheless, the winter season (December-February) and pre-monsoon season (March-May) are less crowded based on the weather and number of visitors. However, the water volume at the waterfall may be lower than in the monsoon season.

Pune is 130 km away, and Mumbai is 200 km away from Nanemachi Waterfall. Mahad is the closest city. The nearest train station is Veer & Sape Wamne, near Mahad. 

You can travel to Mahad from Pune through Varandha Ghat and Bhor Ghat. Then, you can take a cab or local rickshaw to travel the 25 kilometers from Mahad to Nanemachi Base Village.

Traveling to Nanemachi Waterfall Mahad in a personal vehicle is my preferred method of transportation because it’s too far from Mumbai and Pune, and local transportation would take a long time. If you are traveling by yourself, simply enter the Nanemachi Waterfall location on Google Maps and enjoy the journey until you reach the base town.
