France, particularly Paris, is a fabulous travel destination that deserves all the hype about its beauty. Despite all the fun day-out activities that you can Book on the website from your home, there are still a lot of things that you can enjoy in the city at night. It is true that the city never sleeps, nor does it let your travel experience down.
Therefore, ditching all those museums and gardens, this write-up will only be dedicated to my experience with the nightlife of Paris, and how the city blended with me and let me explore my young days.
How did My French Trip Start?
After years of corporate hassle, I finally decided to ditch the monotonous lifestyle of 9-5 and go on a vacation to a serene destination. Since then, I started my research and France came out as the perfect place that I have been looking for. The destination offers a poppy urban lifestyle to enjoy, as well as lush and calm gardens to relieve your stress.
Once I landed on the French roads, the cultural shock was immaculate. The journey from the airport to my hotel gave me a glimpse of what exposure I am going to rejoice for my upcoming days in the city.
For a few days, I followed the methodical itinerary that every traveler follows when traveling to Capitale de la France. I went to the Palace of Versailles, Luxembourg Gardens, Eiffel Tower, Saint Chappelle, etc. But the real fun I had during my vacation started when I went out to enjoy the nightlife of the city.
The night was the real amalgamation of my sinful youth and the serene beauty of the city.
Things to Do in Paris (After the City Sleeps)
This section of the write-up will share my experiences of different activities that I rejoiced at night. You can note these activities in your itinerary and rejuvenate escapades during your vacation:
The Montparnasse Tower Panoramic Observation Deck
The night in Paris starts with a beautiful sunset. The sunset spreads an orange tint all over the sky, and the buildings and roads of the city just glow like gold. Just like me, you can observe the sunset from the Montparnasse Tower observation desk. The ticket prices vary on different factors such as visiting hours, whether you are booking online or offline, etc.
If you are an adult, you will have to pay 18 EUR for booking online, and 22 EUR for offline on weekdays (Monday to Friday), whereas, 19 EUR online and 23 EUR offline on weekends (Saturdays/Sundays) and holidays.
Tango Dancing at River
During summers, you can take free tango lessons at Square Tino Rossi, Quai St. Bernard, and in the 5th Arrondissement. The lessons start at 7 p.m., and you can exchange some impressive moves with the dancers there. Of course, they are free to teach you without any expectations of fee, but you should donate a couple of euros if you enjoy mixing up with them.
The Argentinian music besides water stream and shaking your body with a partner, is it too much to ask for?
Seine River Cruise
The Seine River in Paris is unbelievably romantic at night. And if you are a hopeless romantic person like me, it may easily become one of the must-visit destinations with your partner. The Seine River cruise takes you to different corners of the city through waterways such as the Louvre, the Pont des Arts, the Assemblée Nationale, Notre Dame, and the Eiffel Tower.
The night lights from the buildings of the city shine bright like stars from the blackwater and form another sky under the water.
Taste Exquisite Parisian Dinner
Blessing your stomach with some food must not be forgotten. French cuisine is already famous around the globe for its gourmet menu and exquisite-tasting food. If you are tight on budget, you can try their street foods at night (and save up to 100 EUR). Whereas, if you are a rich brat and afford to eat in luxury restaurants, Bistrot Instinct, HABILE., Alix et Mika, Cavale, and Le Comptoir Boutary, are a must-visit.
Visit The Catacombs At Night
Last but not least, if you want your night to take a creepy turn, visiting the Catacombs at night can be your best decision. Beneath the lively culture of the city, there are thousands of skulls and bones of dead bodies lying to be explored by you.
If you are a sucker for strange things and interesting facts about history, Catacombs would be one of your dream places. The ruins were made by the French royalty in the 18th century and were then made into a tourist attraction by Napoleon.
Conclusion
There is no wonder why Paris is one of the most traveled cities in the world. However, the city is not only about the Eiffel Tower and its museums or gardens. There are a lot of other things that you would enjoy having experience of.
